The Home-Delivered Meals program procedures incorporate many elements, among which transportation is a key factor.   Other elements relative to the support of the project are the Roster, Drivers, Food Service Aide and Statistical Reports.

The UPO Transportation Roster is a weekly compilation of names and addresses of persons who receive Home-Delivered Meals on a weekly basis grouped according to route.  This information is provided by (3) lead agencies.

A maximum of 840 meals is distributed each day; (242) Barney Neighborhood House, (230) Friendship House, and (278) Washington Urban League.   Intake Workers at the Lead Agencies provide all additions and deletions each week for review and grouping of information within the (10) ten routes.

The drivers are to pick up meals each day by 11:00 AM, and at the end of the day report the number of meals delivered.  Also, the drivers should report meals not delivered and why, as well as any unusual circumstances to the Statistical Records Clerk for proper follow-up procedures with the lead agencies.
